- Where applicable the maintenance requirements specified by manufacturers, other relevant professional bodies, and trade organisations.
Summary of the services available to schools are:
- Reactive Maintenance Service – such as plumbing, electrical, heating and ventilation, carpentry, roofing, brickwork, plastering, decorating
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) – such as re-lamping services, fire detection equipment, fire doors, gutter clearance
- Statutory Compliance Testing & Servicing – including 5-year fixed wire testing, gas safety checks, legionella testing, water hygiene management, emergency lighting tests, portable appliance testing
- Consultancy Services – such as Project Management & Monitoring Services, Water and Fire Risk Assessment reviews, preparation of PPM schedules, asset verification building defect diagnosis etc.
A programme of routine maintenance and a cost-effective pricing structure for ad-hoc services can be provided upon request.
The council will provide a team of experienced officers in connection with the management and administration of the Hard FM service to ensure these service standards are delivered. The school will also have a dedicated FM team with clear channels for communication and escalation.
