The CCTV Control Centre is an enabling service that provides value and supports internal and external partners to meet their key objectives. We want to ensure the borough is clean and safe for our residents.
The CCTV Control Centre helps support a multi-departmental response to a significant or major emergency, centrally coordinated by the Borough Emergency Control Centre (BECC). The control centre can additionally function as a secondary BECC or a backup site when needed.
During 2023/24 the CCTV suite was transformed in to a state-of-the-art CCTV Control Centre. We now have a CCTV Control Centre that the Council and the Borough can be proud of, that will deliver real value for all our residents and stakeholders. Which is future proofed for at least the next 10 years, ensuring we build capacity for service expansion.
Engaging with our service stakeholders to ensure the new Control Centre helps them to deliver on their requirements such as the Police who have a dedicated desk for their ongoing operations.
The CCTV Control Centre is operated in accordance with the law and security industry best practice.
We can provide recordings from Public Space Surveillance (PSS) cameras for civil claims between individuals or companies. The most common requests are due to road traffic collisions.
A new fee structure implemented for all 3rd Party CCTV footage requests.
The CCTV team centrally monitor cameras at our CCTV Control Centre.
We have developed tiered service package, Gold, Silver, and Bronze—offering varying levels of CCTV monitoring and maintenance. These packages will cater to a range of customer needs, from basic system upkeep to comprehensive 24/7 monitoring and premium support.

Rapid Deployment CCTV Camera (RDC) provides the ability to commission CCTV coverage of an area quickly. Currently have around 100 RDCs deployed across different council sectors.
